Common payment failure reasons

If your payment didn’t make it through, don’t worry, it happens to the best of cards. Let’s figure out why and how to fix it.

Here are the most frequent causes and what to check before reaching out for help:

1. Authentication not completed

Your bank may require an extra verification step (such as a code or app confirmation).
Make sure you complete it and that pop-ups are allowed in your browser.

2. Incorrect or outdated payment details

Double-check your card number, expiration date, and CVV.
If your card was replaced or expired, update your billing information.

3. Insufficient funds

Ensure you have enough balance or available credit.

4. Online or international payments blocked

Some banks disable online or cross-border transactions by default.
Contact your bank to enable them or try another payment method (e.g., PayPal).

5. Expired or inactive card

Make sure that you are using a valid card with an active expiration date.

6. Bank or network issue

Occasionally, payments fail due to temporary issues at your bank or the card network.
Wait a few minutes and try again.

7. Failed payment attempts caused by browser cache

Clear your browser’s cache or try again using an incognito/private window.

8. Failed payment attempts caused by VPN and restricted countries

The use of VPN, or any other geo-location obscuring, our payment provider may fail to process your payment.

Unfortunately, our payment provider also has a list of restricted countries, which you can check against your location, in case you encounter payment issues.
