Creating Report Templates

Never start from scratch. Our pentest report templates work out of the box. Choose the predefined template you need or create your own template to reuse every time.

The first step is defining your Engagement to gather information for each penetration test or vulnerability detection you are working at. The fields included here will be used later on in the Report Template, such as the client company name and contact number.

Secondly, you can create a new report template by duplicating one of the existing ones, being one of the default ones or created previously.

A report template contains a set of predefined sections (Background, Objectives, Scope, etc.). You can change each field description to adapt to your pentest. However, these titles can not be modified. Changes to the description will be applied by using the Save button.

Use tags inside the report fields to further customize the report template:

  • {{CONTRACTOR_NAME}}
  • {{CONTRACTOR_COMPANY}}
  • {{CLIENT_COMPANY}}
  • {{REPORT_NAME}}
  • {{CONTRACT_NUMBER}}
  • {{REPORT_DATE}}
  • {{CONTRACT_DATE}}
  • {{START_DATE}}
  • {{END_DATE}}
  • {{SCOPE_TABLE}}
  • {{FINDINGS_SUMMARY_TABLE}}
  • {{FINDINGS_SUMMARY_CHART}}

Thirdly, you can add a white-label to your report and also set up the logo positioning (CSS). This feature is only included in the Enterprise plan.

All your Report Templates will be available when you generate Editable Reports from the /findings page.
